Trekking is healthy not only for your body but also for your mind and spirit. Being out in the arms of nature also teaches you values that you cannot get sitting inside an office or home. Trekkers feel a sense of gratitude towards nature when they realize what and how much it has given us. They realize during a trek about the force of nature, and how big our horizons and our perspective can be. The sky is the limit, is the spirit that trekkers are filled with. We meet people from different cultures and values that teach us a lot by knowing about their experiences.
4) Get closer to nature
A trekking adventure can take you to places you dreamt of visiting after watching a documentary or reading a book about a fun place. Much of the world’s untouched treasures can only be reached through long journeys away from tourist attractions and tropical areas. Trekkers are usually out in nature for about 7–10 days and they are taught about how to take from nature as well give to nature, being one with nature is a mental therapy in itself; it brings within us a sense of calm and composure. It refreshes our minds and our soul and fuels us with a new kind of energy needed to fight everyday-battles. Trekking also teaches us how to make the most of nature’s exhaustible resources wisely and efficiently.
5) Build unbreakable bonds
Trekking is done in big groups and teaches us how nature is the ultimate power and how people need to together respect it and nurture it further. We meet a lot of people from different cities, cultures with their own experiences, but we make a new experience with these people together which make memories worth sharing for a lifetime. A lot of people who meet through treks make it a regular thing in different locations; they become great friends and share one common love — a love for trekking.
